where is the installation folder? I cannot find it...
The keyboard is very good! Good work!
Can I put more than 4 keyboard layouts? I need 6...

Tell me why you need 6 in theory we can, but I've the idea that a keyboard with 6 layout will just sucks.
One thing I'd like to add also is a shift key mode, so you press it, it goes to another layout, you press one key it goes back to the previous layout.
should be installed in \program files\pcmkeyboard

Because of the design of the keyboard i need 2 layouts for each language (one for caps and one for not). right?
So... i need to have 2 languages (greek and english) which are 4 layouts. And i need to make another layout for numbers and symbols. And the last one layout is for the greek sms (because of the unicode we were talking earlier i need another layout for the sms)

So actually you're more looking for an option to switch between language because I guess the dictionary would have to folow? am I right?

I guess that each dictionary should be in a separate file? What do you suggest?
But as far as the numbers of layouts are concerned can you make them 6?

Hi,
Could you, please, give me the answers to the following questions:
1) How can I include the "\" character in my keyboard?
2) How do you get a large BS key in your keyboard. My BS key is as small as the characters keys?
Thx

"\" is not supported, in next version you'll have to use "\\" that will translate as the "\" key.
I'm not sure I get what you mean, can you show me a screenshot?

yes you need to softreset.
regarding support for hebrrew, I don't knwo if it will work.
Regarding unicode, with notepad on you desktop pc, save as the file, there's an encoding drop down, choose unicode... and test

I really like it, though the more I use it, the more I notice little things that tend to go wrong or slow it down. As I attempt to gain speed on my use of it, I have noticed that the letters on the left side, q, a, and the shift symbol are hard to get to. My finger will hit the side of the device before I can get those letters to show. Would it be possible to shave some size off the the others in order to obtain more size on them, allowing easier access to those letters? Then again, if I use it in landscape mode, it works well due to the keyboard not resizing to fit the screen size, allow space and ease of access to the edge letters.
Also, when I overshoot the space bar at the bottom of the screen, I accidentally hit the keyboard symbol, which them jumps back to the default keyboard, taking time to get it reset to the one I want.
Great work, I hope you continue to work with it.

Tu dois changer le nom du fichier de settings.fr.ini a settings.ini tout simplement et fare soft-reset

i do not quite understand the function of "shift" button. If i have more than 2 keyboards how do shift works ? Also is there a Shift Lock state ?? because it only applies for one button press

@Myster:
You have N Layouts (N is a number from 1 to 8)
If you create a button "\M", pressing that button cycles through the layouts.
Press it once: Welcome to layout 2
Press it again: Welcome to layout 3
...
Press it again (8th time). Welcome to layout 1
The Shift (arrow up) is done by using "\N" as a button: This switches directly to layout N.
So, if layout 1 has a button "\2" and layout 2 has a button "\1" you can switch between these two layouts. by Pressing the "shift key"

taros666: just a precision, \M cycle trough 1, 3, 5, 7 layout. That allows you to make 1, normal, 2, shiftest, 3 second normal layout, etc... without having the mode key cycling through shifted layout.

Q: How can I create a "tab"-key? "\T" is not working...
Re: Customizing keyboard layout
Date: August 17, 2007 07:53PM
Thanks taros666 and admin for the advice
The problem is that when pressing shift the "shifted" keyboards show up for just one Button press which makes the whole thing hard to use
I think that shift would have to stay active (locked) until pressed again
What do you think ?
I also agree that Tab is a necessary addition

For shift, it's the purpose of this shift to be for one key only, you want to start a word with a capital letter: tap on shift, the first letter, the other letter, That's all.
What you probably need is another layout reachable trough the mode key (123#?), containing anything you want, even capital letter, if you want a capital layout that stays.
What I will probably add however is something like, press shift for 500ms, then the layout will stay for more than one letter.
For tab? what would be the use of tab? doesn't the D-Pad work in most case?

Yes indeed , i didn't think of the dpad ...
Would it be possible to add a place for a Label so someone can see which keyboard is currently loaded ?
